Optimized-JULY FAVS

It’s August !

Does anyone else feel like they left their bearings in 2012 ? Time is moving so fast…Anyway, here are some of the beauty products that I have been loving in month just past; with a bit of information about why 🙂 Just click ‘Read More’ …

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Brow Wiz in the shade EBONY |£15.50 at beautybay.com

http://www.beautybay.com/cosmetics/anastasiabeverlyhills/browwiz/

Brows… aren’t they an interesting topic in the beauty world!  If your drawn in brows are the first thing that people notice when they look at your face, and they can’t stop noticing them, the desired effect hasn’t been created.  Subtlety is key. With the brow wiz, I am able to create hair-like strokes through my brow to add thickness and shape while keeping a natural look. This product lasted for about 2 months of daily use. The spooly on the end is used to brush through the brow to get rid of any harsh lines.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY Luxury palette, VINTAGE VAMP | £38 at Selfridges and Charlotte Tilbury.com

I am absolutely obsessed with Charlotte Tilburys line. It’s a luxury brand that launch last year and has taken the beauty world by storm. The quality of the products is beyond amazing. This was Julys treat ! The berry shades in the palette are so beautiful on the eye. The light champagne shade works well in the inner eye area while the golden shimmer is ideal for a bold evening look. Hats off to Charlotte. This is a stunning product.

RIMMEL Exaggerate Lipliner OBSESSED 64| £3.99 at Superdrug

http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-Exaggerate-Lip-Liner_6938/

Isn’t it great when you find a shade that suits you completely ? This berry red shade is great for deep skin tones. It’s a twist up liner that requires no sharpening. This liner lives in my handbag. I’m literally obsessed (…see what I did there :P). For the price, you can’t loose.

TOM FORD Shade and Illuminate in INTENISITY 2 | £56 at Selfridge

http://www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/tom-ford-shade-illuminate_450-3001058-SHADEILLUMINATE/?previewAttribute=Intensity+one

I have wanted this contour palette for at least two years. With this contour and highlight palette, I can create the defined cheekbones and and glowing skin that I love. Yes, the price tag is hefty. However, for me, it’s completely worth it. The only things I would say is that the creams should only be applied with thoroughly clean hands because the product picks up dust and fluff easily. I know of some drugstore dupes that are similar for a lower price. If you would like a post dedicated to dupes, let me know in the comments 🙂

ZOEVA 128 Cream Cheek Brush| £11.50 of BeautyBay.com

MAC 217 Blending Brush | £20 at Selfridges or MacCosmetics.co.uk

http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/960/380/Video/Perfect-Red-Lip/217-Blending-Brush/index.tmpl

‘A craftsman is only as good as his tools’.

I use the Cream Cheek Brush when using powder bronzers to give the face dimension. The quality of ZOEVA brushes definitely rivals MAC. I recommend them for anyone who wants to make a step up from the beginner brushes. The MAC 217 brush is probably the most popular makeup brush … ever. And I can see why. It can be used for application and blending with ease. Beaut !

LAURA MERCIER TINTED MOISTURISER oil free spf 20 in TAN | £34 at Selfridges

http://www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/laura-mercier-tinted-moisturizer-spf-20-oil-free_304-3001489-TINTEDMOISTURISEROILFREE/?previewAttribute=Almond

This is perfect for me this Summer. It’s lightweight, it’s hydrating and it’s long lasting. Although the price is higher than most bb creams and foundations, most have 30ml/40ml of product while this has 50ml. There is a good range of shades so I’m sure you can find one for you.

MAX FACTOR False Lash Effect Mascara | £10.99 at Boots and Superdrug

http://www.boots.com/en/Max-Factor-False-Lash-Effect-Mascara_641711/

This mascara is a fail-safe. With a few strokes, it gives volume and length. I’d recommend it to anyone. Seriously, I’ve gone back to it again and again and again and again  …
